Service Area:	The Eastern Area Office of the American Cancer Society, Illinois Division, serves 19 counties in Illinois including Champaign, Clark, Clay, Coles, Cumberland, Crawford, Douglas, Edgar, Effingham, Ford, Fayette, Iroquois, Jasper, Lawrence, Moultrie, Piatt, Richland, Shelby and Vermilion.

The American Cancer Society strives to prevent cancer and reduce its effects through research, education, advocacy, and the provision of patient services. Educational materials and programs are available as well as information on the disease - both general and specific, support and rehabilitation programs, insurance, employment rights and medical equipment sources. Transportation is provided for individuals to and from chemotherapy or radiation treatments when ACS volunteer drivers are available (patient must be able to walk to and from a vehicle).
